Tyler, Diane, ANYONE: Can somelook over this persons
"reviews"? Particularly most of the latter ones. I think
you will know just what to edit/delete. I would hate to
see a person like this impact the Dead sight in a negative
way. They're giving 'bad' info.
Or you can tell me that what is being explained is legal,
or has no impact and I'll shut the hell up. Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you

I don't really see a problem here - if people want to record their own copy of the streams, they're welcome to do so. The LMA just can't provide lossless downloads of the show, that's all.

Some of us don't think that's what he's got in mind! There is a way to actually DL those MP-3's but the rest of us just don't discuss the subject any more. If somebody wants to DL some Grateful Dead SBDs let them use a Bit Torrent client and get quality SHN/FLAC files from the E-TREE Community Tracker and a couple of other places.

Nobody really wants to make old fashioned analog recordings of the ARCHIVE VBR streams in real time. That doesn't fix the dropouts between tracks or the dead air caused by buffering...

Nice to meet you to my good sir. So are you saying its
ok to discuss how to circumnavigate/circumvent the bands
wishes not to be able to DL the soundboards from this site?
As long as you're 'smart' enough to do that? Really?
Kind of makes me wonder why they pulled them in the first
place. If you want an mp3, with breaks in between songs,
it ok to DL soundboards? Im just trying to find out what
the big deal is, thats all Dave. thanks

I don't see where in the reviews you indicated that the person is detailing how to download the mp3's. All I see is a recommendation of software to record the stream itself, and I don't see a problem with that.

well, im not gonna copy and paste the "one way to DL these
soundboards" guide. I feel Ive shed to much hypocritical light on this subject as is.
If you find something illegal about their posts, Im sure
you'll know what to do. Thanks for your help man.
